One of Bombkarnia’s most famous collections is the one referring to regional embroidery. We want to show the heritage of Polish folk art in a new way, that is, on utility items.
The beautician is inspired by the Krakow pattern. We divide Kraków patterns into two types: Western Krakowiaks (recognized as a pattern from the national costume) and Eastern Krakowiaks. They were developed at the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries and were the first of the peasants’ costumes to be noticed by the upper social classes. It happened thanks to its uniqueness. It was the richest folk costume at that time.
It differed from other costumes in terms of color and the similarity of some elements to the noble’s outfit. The outside of the beautician is printed with a Krakow pattern. On the inside, the lining is made of polyamide, so it does not leak. There are four colors of the lining to choose from: red, pink, blue and green. The cosmetic bag has a golden circle, so you can attach it to a bag in the same pattern.
