Małgorzata Boksa – a wedding monidło

In the studio of the married couple: Małgorzata and Krzysztof Boksy, for years unique works in the field of painting, ceramics and wood carvings have been created. Thanks to the originality of forms and colors, these works wonderfully decorate and make the interior unique. The themes refer to sacred, animal and plant motifs. At each stage of creation, their masterpieces are handicrafts emphasizing the craftsmanship of human work and the Polish decorative tradition. No two pieces are alike, each one is unique in its finish. Monidło is a kind of realistic picture, a portrait painted most often on the basis of a wedding photo. In her work, the artist “winks at us”, showing a humorous kind of monidrum referring to the old days.
