One of the most famous collections of Bombkarnia is the one referring to regional embroidery. We want to present the heritage of Polish folk art in a new way, i.e. on glass baubles.
The Christmas ornament is inspired by the Lowicz pattern. The first decorations of this type appeared in Łowicz at the beginning of the 20th century. They were made with the use of wool. Embroidery with silk threads and mouline threads made a real career, which looked very impressive on velvet. The most famous motif is roses.
A bauble inspired by cut-outs from Lowicz shows two symmetrical roosters in a circle of plants. Colorful flowers and roosters painted with fine glitter add color. The same motif is visible on both sides of the baubles. This ornament, belonging to the original Bombkarnia collection, is available in two sizes. Our collection includes motifs directly transferred from Łowicz paper ornaments, but also those that are variations on the theme of folk cutouts. As in all our collections, the aim is to present the heritage of Polish folk art in a new way, i.e. on glass ornaments.
The size of the baubles ~ 10 cm
