One of Bombkarnia’s most famous collections is the one referring to regional embroidery. We want to present the heritage of Polish folk art in a new way, i.e. on glass baubles.
The transparent background of the baubles is entwined by a yellow ribbon with a pink border, at the bottom taking the shape of a frill. Between the golden beads, there are pink flowers characteristic of the Żywiec embroidery. Together with the branches of forget-me-nots, they form bouquets on both sides of the egg. The leaves are hemmed with small, transparent balls, and the entire pattern is made not only of beads, but also small pearls and sequins. This embroidery is a flat embroidery, otherwise known as painting embroidery, enriched with sequins and beads. It owes its originality to rich, intricately made floral ornaments. Each application made with this embroidery is a combination of several floral motifs. The most commonly used patterns are flowers and clusters of carnations, flowers of forget-me-nots, chamomiles, tulips, daisies, pansies, roses, ears of cereals and leaves. The colors in which the applications are made are always naturalistic colors, which, combined with patterns, compulsorily composed as huge bouquets, gave a unique, even delightful end result.
