One of Bombkarnia’s most famous collections is the one referring to regional embroidery. We want to present the heritage of Polish folk art in a new way, i.e. on glass baubles.
The egg is inspired by the pattern from Łowicz. The first decorations of this type appeared in Łowicz at the beginning of the 20th century. They were made with the use of wool. Embroidery with silk threads and mouline threads made a real career, which looked very impressive on velvet. The most famous motif is roses.
The motif of a traditional striped uniform from Lowicz transferred to a glass ball. A wide black stripe, hand-painted with glitter runs through the center of the bauble. The belt is finished with white lace and decorated with painted glitter, red flowers with aquamarine leaves. Below and above the black belt, the colorful striped uniform of Łowicz shines – wide and narrow stripes alternating with vivid colors.
