One of the most famous collections of Bombkarnia is the one referring to regional embroidery. We want to present the heritage of Polish folk art in a new way, i.e. on glass baubles. The hand-made figurine of Wilanowianka shows the details of regional embroidery with all the substantive elements.
Folk costume from the Masovian area. The set consists of the following elements: a headdress (a cap or a scarf), a white rim-cut shirt, a corset (usually green) trimmed with contrasting tapes, a long skirt made of homespun or factory wool (often with floral motifs), apron, jewelry (6 –9 strings of short beads, patterned ribbons) and footwear (textile pumps, boots with uppers or black lace-up boots). Long caftans were also worn, and in winter, fur-lined long suits similar to men’s cut, commonly known as friends.
Height: 14 cm
– bauble: glass
– box: decorative cardboard printed in the colors of Bombkarnia
Each of the elements was produced in Poland.
