The ornament refers to a beautiful fairy tale entitled Jaś and małgosia. The fairy tale tells the story of two children who, left in the forest by their stepmother, met an evil witch. It was written and published in 1812 by the Brothers Grimm. The ball was created by Polish artists.
An intricately made glass, hand-blown bauble shows the figure of Małgosia, holding a basket full of raspberries. A hand-decorated ball decorated with colorful glitter and beads has an unusual style, characteristic of a whole series of baubles referring to the fairy tale about Hansel and Gretel.
